Access to clean and safe water is a basic right that everyone should have, but for the people of Gaza, this right has been stripped away, worsened by the severe escalation and blockade.
A lack of access to clean water is one of the most urgent threats facing the people of Gaza. Infrastructural attacks as a result of Israel’s bombardment has destroyed 89% of water and sanitation infrastructure, pushing families to the brink.
Since the start of the escalation, Islamic Relief has been on the ground in Gaza, providing safe, clean drinking water to families in need through water trucking – helping to reduce the risk of dehydration and waterborne disease.

By donating to our Water Trucking in Gaza fund, you can help us save lives by ensuring families have access to safe drinking water amid the crisis.
Water is processed through desalination plants inside Gaza and delivered via trucks in North and South Gaza. At distribution points families come to collect water with their own jerry cans and vessels. Each truck can hold 7,000 litres of safe and clean drinking water.
Each family receives 20 litres on average, and one truck can provide water for around 350 families.
But with water sources destroyed and needs increasing every single day, we urgently need your support to keep this lifeline going.

Your generous donations to our Water Trucking in Gaza fund can help us:
Deliver truckloads of clean drinking water to families across North and South Gaza.
Help prevent the spread of deadly waterborne diseases.
Support displaced communities with no other access to water.
Together, we can keep delivering clean and safe drinking water to families in crisis. Donate today to provide a lifeline of clean water to families in Gaza.
